God's Timing & the Lessons Learned

Do you ever read something and think, "Wow! Was this written JUST for me?" That's how I felt when my mom sent me THIS article yesterday. I'm sure mom was led to it because she was meant to share it with me. Tender mercies, my friends.

The article is called, "When God Makes You Wait." There were so many beautiful, poignant pieces that I just wanted to snatch out of the article, wrap around me and carry with me forever.

Here is an excerpt I loved:
See… sometimes the waiting period of our lives is the most important time in our life.
It is during this period when nothing seems to be happening, when prayers seem to go unanswered, when God seems so far away that the most spiritual growth takes place in our lives. That we learn to become more like Him.
It is during this time that we build spiritual “muscle."
That we grow in faith.
That we learn to depend only on Him.

And THIS THOUGHT is my favorite takeaway:
IF He is making you wait, there is a very good reason for it.
If He is telling you “no” today, maybe it’s because He has a better “yes” waiting for you tomorrow.

I am so selfish and so proud to believe that I know what is best for me when there is a supreme being, a HEAVENLY being and father who knows and loves me dearly. He has a plan for me that is greater than any other I could ever imagine.

Key takeaways:
- The waiting period is vital, and I will grow so much during this time. It is actually a BLESSING.
- He knows better than I do; a better "yes" is waiting for me than all the "no's" I'm experiencing now.
