On Love & Dating.

I've made SO many mistakes when it comes to dating/love that sometimes I think I should start writing a book about my experiences. But then, when I really think about it, I'm glad for each and every mistake because I've learned so much about myself and what I'm looking for in my future husband.

I'm sure I'll make more poor choices in the future. I'm sure I'll say more silly things, ruin more relationships and make a fool of myself. But I really don't care. I love the part of getting older that makes you feel more confident, more comfortable in your own skin. With each day that passes I start to love myself even more. **This is why I think no one should be allowed to get married until their frontal lobe has fully formed, but I might get lynched for saying it**

Another thing I've learned is that love isn't perfect. Falling in love is probably not going to happen the way I have expected it to work out. It won't be perfect, it won't be all a fairy tale, but I will hold out for a prince who knows to respect and love me with everything he has.

For some reason, this cheesy Demi Lovato song keeps going through my head (actually, the Glee Cast version, which I'm not sure if that's any better). So cheers to love, waiting, patience and broken hearts. I can't wait to find him.

The day I first met you
You told me you'd never fall in love
But now that I get you
I know fear is what it really was

Now here we are
So close yet so far
Haven't I passed the test
When will you realize
Baby, I'm not like the rest

Don't wanna break your heart
Wanna give your heart a break
I know you're scared it's wrong
Like you might make a mistake
There's just one life to live
And there's no time to wait, to wait
So let me give your heart a break, give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break, your heart a break
There's just so much you can take
Give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break, your heart a break
Oh yeah, yeah

On Sunday you went home alone
There were tears in your eyes
I called your cell phone, my love
But you did not reply

The world is ours if we want it
We can take it if you just take my hand
There's no turning back now
Baby, try to understand

Don't wanna break your heart
Wanna give your heart a break
I know you're scared it's wrong
Like you might make a mistake
There's just one life to live
And there's no time to wait, to wait
So let me give your heart a break, give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break, your heart a break
There's just so much you can take
Give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break, your heart a break
Oh yeah, yeah

When your lips are on my lips
Then our hearts beat as one
But you slip out of my fingertips
Every time you run, whoa-oh-whoa-oh-oh

Don't wanna break your heart
Wanna give your heart a break
I know you're scared it's wrong
Like you might make a mistake
There's just one life to live
And there's no time to wait, to wait
So let me give your heart a break

'Cause you've been hurt before
I can see it in your eyes
You try to smile it away, some things you can't disguise
Don't wanna break your heart
Maybe, I can ease the ache, the ache
So let me give your heart a break, give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break, your heart a break
There's just so much you can take
Give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break, your heart a break
Oh yeah, yeah

The day I first met you
You told me you'd never fall in love

Girl I love me some Demi! Sometimes she just knows how to say it. And I totally know what you mean....even when it gets hard sometimes to be single, with every year that passes I'm like "whoa, I'm so much better/wiser/kinder than I used to be....I'm glad I didn't get married before." Luckily people who get married young can still grow WHILE married...but I for one am grateful I'll have more to bring to the table to start with. NOW MORE DEMI.
