I've never considered myself much of a fashionista. I really didn't even start paying much attention to clothes until I started my first PR internship my senior year of college. I noticed that the other PR girls were always so stylish and I wanted to be more like them. I started pairing dresses with tights, high heel boots and lots of accessories. I liked the way dressing nicely made me feel and the attention I got from it.
Then... reality hit. I graduated college and just started throwing on whatever I could find to go to work. Don't get me wrong, I always do look professional, but I just don't feel as stylish or put-together as I used to. The older I get, the more I realize that my fashion sense may be a little more eclectic than I originally thought. Lately I've been pinning outfits obsessively, shopping very carefully and thoughtfully and I like what I've found! It's become a new rule for me that I don't just buy clothes on a whim. I have to think things through (what outfits a particular item will go with, how much I will wear it, do I think it reflects me?) and then I can go into the store and buy it. Thank heavens for online shopping so I can peruse at home.
Anyways, here are a few of the outfits I'm currently drooling over and trying hard to replicate with my own flair. Enjoy!
Oh my gosh, can I just have them all???
