Biggest Loser Challenge

You guys, I've gained some weight. In fact, it happened when I moved home... which I guess isn't surprising. I gained about ten pounds to my already 15 pounds I wanted to lose so here I am in the position of wanting to lose about 25 - 30 pounds (preferably before summer starts, k thanks).

A few days ago, Amy suggested a few friends and I take part in a Biggest Loser challenge. The person to lose the biggest body weight percentage by April 1st wins cash and respect. I'm taking this very seriously. We started three days ago. That day I took really embarrassing pictures of myself for the "before" shots and weighed myself. Hello, wake up call. I SO want to feel better about myself, look good and most importantly get into better shape and take better care of my body.

How am I going to do this?

I'm minimizing my soda intake. I'm eating really well and bringing lots of healthy munchies to work to curb cravings. I'm allowing myself some indulgences weekly so I don't freak out and binge. I've been running and lifting at the gym. Amy and I are going to start doing the Insanity DVDs when she moves in (our goal is to be the poster children for Insanity).

Side note: Can we talk about how it's day three and I feel like I'm dying? Apparently cutting down your sugar and carb intake is a shock on your body, especially after an awful few months of holiday eating. YOU CAN DO IT WHITNEY.

I wanna get fit. I want to feel beautiful and confident. I want to take care of this body I have.

Here's to a happy, healthy 2014!
