Reasons Why I Rock

I'm sorry for all of the negative posts lately! I seem to be making my way out of my funk quite nicely. Living at home has turned out to be a really awesome experience and now I'm concerned I may never want to leave. My birthday is ONE WEEK from today, I'm going to Disneyland this weekend to dine at Club 33 and things are going well. 

I think I really need a positive, uplifting post about... myself. Like a lot of people, I do struggle with self-esteem, but I find myself slowly growing into my personality and confidence as I get older and I wouldn't trade that for the world. I thought I would sit down and take some time to focus on the positives about me, instead of always harping on the negative. And then I thought, why not ask my closest friends?! And it turned into this hilarious post.

Reasons why my closest friends say I rock:

Amy: "YOU ARE AWESOME AND INTELLIGENT AND SUPER BEAUTIFUL AND YOU PRETTY MUCH KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS IN LIFE (including Harry Potter & Disney). I put it in all caps to really drive the point home."

Abby: "You make your room look like Pinterest. You over pack, and I over pack, so I like traveling with you. You buy big necklaces and pull them off without looking like you're trying too hard. You have no insecurities about your natural hair color. You are very good at holding fins. You are good at forgiving people. You are very encouraging and uplifting. You don't understand dirty songs which is hilarious."

Brodie: "You are gorgeous. Adorable. Fashionable. Sincere. Generous. Thoughtful. Comical. Wonderful. Motherly. Desirable. Cute. And phenomenal."

Britni: "Whitney is smart, funny, and beautiful inside and out. I’m lucky to call her a friend! What makes Whitney particular awesome is that she is so nerdy – and she OWNS it. Not to mention she makes being nerdy completely appealing, and not in a trendy hipster way, but in a much more authentic way. She has really great style and can craft and bake things that look like they belong on Pinterest. She also has a really pretty princess singing voice. She is basically Belle from Beauty and The Beast. Also, she takes creepy photos of me from her cube and speaks in a British accent…which is AWESOME. Sometimes we try to speak elvish."

My most favorite part about this post is that when I asked my friends, none of them hesitated. They responded right away with the sweetest things and it really turned my week around. What a perfect pick me up! I love them.
