Honestly, nothing may come of this date. And that's fine I guess. But I did such a good job of living in the moment, experiencing my emotions as they came... and for that I'm proud of myself.
And, of course, a song kept coming to mind afterward. "As Long as You're Mine" from Wicked sort of explains exactly how I'm feeling.

It terrifies me to put my heart out there and live on the edge. And I keep doing it. You know why? Because one of these times it will be for forever.

wow, i really loved this post. and i completely agree with what you said at the end. it's so hard to allow yourself to be vulnerable in relationships..yet somehow we have to keep believing that it will be worth it.
