Share the Power of a Wish

I am so very humbled tonight as I write this post.
Though it has only been two weeks at the Make-A-Wish Foundation, I find myself feeling so emotional about the wish stories I have seen and heard.
These children are absolutely incredible.
Their spirits are so courageous and so strong.
Though most of them have gone through more than anyone should in a lifetime,
They bring such joy and life into the world.

I am even more amazed at some of the wishes I hear about.
"I wish to have my own room" or "I wish to have a backyard playground"
Some wish to travel with their families or meet their idols.
The deepest desires of their hearts are so small in comparison to what they endure every single day.

Today I read a wish. A girl suffered from an illness which prevented her from walking. All she wished was to go on TV shows and spread awareness of her condition and help others.
Her example almost made me cry.

I find myself at my computer, or speaking with some one about a wish kid, and I almost instantly become overwhelmed with such emotion.

Heavenly Father loves each on of us so very much.
I hope to share some wish stories in the future on my blog and hopefully spread some of the light I am privileged to experience every single day.

I hope that you, in return, will help spread the power of a wish.
Share the hope, light and love of these children.
Let people know how important it is to support non-profit organizations.

"We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy" the Make-A-Wish Foundation mission statement.
